At the end of the 19th Century, was a period of rapid immigration and urbanization. Immigrants from Europe left their homes due to economic problems, rough land, population increase, and not being able to farm. They decided to come to United States in hope of more money, some would stay permanently, and some would stay at capitol and then go back home.
Immigrants lives changed drastically when they arrived. They had to get used to unfamiliar languages, had to adjust to industrial labor, and the city life.
